Shree Jethalal C Shah established Prakash School on January 17th, 1952. At the inauguration of the school, the Education Minister, Shree Indumatiben Sheth, performed the ceremony. With the vision of the institution to become a laboratory of new age needs and ideas as well as an ideal school to out come from the old traditions and this sanctity will be inscribed throughout Prakash Pustha.
Firstly the builidng wasestablished with the aim of Praksh Girl's Art Collage but by the passing of time, it will converted in to higher secoudary school and Mr. Sudhirbhai J Shah (the Elder Son of Shree J C Shah) took in charge of this higher secondary school.
In 1983, the beginning of the excellent Gujarati Home Science School. The school earned a great name for itself by showcasing excellent performances in exhibitions, and was recognized as one of the best school of that time by the Business department of the Central Government.
In 2004, along with the Girls Students the boys were got a chance to get addmission in the Prakash School, this marked the beginning of co-education in the school. Under the leadership of the Shree Maulinbhai Shah, the was expanded with the same vsion and grow in the era of Education.
To enhance the knowledge and skills of the students in the era of technology, the school started offering education in English medium as well. This decision was taken in 2015 with the aim to make students proficient in the language and enable them to excel in the modern age.
