ABOUT FOUNDER SHREE JETHALAL C SHAH

One day, Shree Jethalal Shah had thought that the children from the economically weaker sections of my city can not afford expensive education. For their sake, a beautiful educational institution should be established. To provide well-organized education to the children, he founded the Prakash School. With the noble and pure intention of keeping the flow of human knowledge uninterrupted, he established Prakash School on January 17th, 1952. At the inauguration of the school, the Education Minister, Shree Indumatiben Sheth, performed the ceremony.

Shree Jethalal dada had a very strict nature, and he made sure that any task he undertook was executed perfectly. His nature was like a coconut: hard on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. For him, the development of the students was the primary goal of the school's establishment. As a result of his vision, the first CBSE School in Gujarat was started, and gradually primary and secondary schools were also established. The school was not only established for enrollment purposes but also to promote special characteristics.

The female students of the school were called "Prakashikas". It was said by Jethaladada "If society does not understand the importance of women's dignity, then it should be forgive; but if my "Prakashikas" do not understand, then it is an unforgivable sin". As per him - Woman is a goddess, the one who creates and nurtures life, the one who bears the weight of the world, and yet, remains strong and steadfast.
